Dedicated to the memory of all the men and women of the Bridgnorth area who died during the two World Wars.

James Davis

This name, which is not on the church memorial, probably refers to the J O Davies who is buried in Worfield Churchyard under a CWGC headstone.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records show that J O Davies served in the 2nd Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment as Private 60398. He died on 17th July, 1920 and is buried at Worfield. He was the son of Mr J. Davies of Allscote Cottage, Bridgnorth

This memorial has mostly been compiled from official sources. It would be good to be able to expand it with more personal material - memories, stories, photos, etc. If you have any suitable material or any corrections please contact Greg. For news of updates follow @BridgnorthHeros on Twitter.
