Dedicated to the memory of all the men and women of the Bridgnorth area who died during the two World Wars.
There are two men of the Royal Engineers named Thomas Holden recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. WR/355355 or 337961 Sapper Thomas Watson Holden who died at sea on 26th February 1918 and 91712 Lance Corporal Thomas Holden who died in the UK on the 10th February, 1919 and is buried at SS Peter & Paul, Aston, Birmingham. So far I have not been able to identify which, if either, is refered to on the Highley War Memorial.
The Shropshire's Roll of Honour website identifies the latter.
This memorial has mostly been compiled from official sources. It would be good to be able to expand it with more personal material - memories, stories, photos, etc. If you have any suitable material or any corrections please contact Greg. For news of updates follow @BridgnorthHeros on Twitter.
