Dedicated to the memory of all the men and women of the South Staffordshire area who died during the two World Wars.
Ishmael John Whittingham was the son of Ernest and Elizabeth Whittingham of Wheaton Aston. He was married to Winifred Whittingham and had three children.
Private Whittingham, 5045853, 2nd Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment, was killed on 27th May 1940 during the 'Dunkirk push'. He is buried in Comines (Komen) Communal Cemetery.
